Italy’s National Football Team is making its highly anticipated return to the United States this spring to play a pair of friendlies. Italy, the defending European Championship winners, will take on Ecuador in a friendly in Philadelphia. The four-time World Cup winners last played in the United States in 2005. The DIAEA 2024 Italian Cinema Series, in partnership with Friends of Italian Culture, continues with a screening of “Nuovo Cinema Paradiso” by Giuseppe Tornatore, winner of the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 1990. The screening is part of this year’s theme, offering child actors as protagonists of life stories.
