A mesmerizing new production of “Jesus Christ Superstar” returns to the stage for its 50th anniversary. Appealing to both theater audiences and concert fans, this production pays tribute to the historic 1971 Billboard Album of the Year while creating a theatrical world that is uniquely fresh and inspiring. With lyrics and music by Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony winners Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber, the score includes “I Don’t Know How to Love Him,” “Gethsemane” and “Superstar.” (May 2-7, Kimmel Cultural Campus, 300 S. The Temptations and the Four Tops bring their soulful sounds to the Scottish Rite Auditorium. The Temptations were named one of the “125 Greatest of All Time Artists” by Billboard magazine and one of the “100 Greatest Artists of All Time” by Rolling Stone.

Known for his original hidden camera magic series, “The Carbonaro Effect” on truTV, Michael Carbonaro has been seen on television in shows such as “Happily Divorced,” “30 Rock,” “Gray’s Anatomy,” “CSI Miami,” and “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.” Whether posing as a coffee shop barista or store clerk, Carbonaro’s illusions – along with his absurd, matter-of-fact explanations – leave people bewildered and laughing out loud. Actor, filmmaker, and playwriter, Chazz Palminteri will tell his story of the famous 1988 play “A Bronx Tale” at Bally’s Dover Casino Resort. Chazz was born in the Bronx, New York, where he began pursuing his career at the Actor’s Studio. In 1988 he wrote a play for himself, which depicted his childhood bringing all 18 characters to life in a one-man stage commentary. (June 23, Bally’s Dover Casino Resort, 1131 N.
