The relevance of ‘Pinocchio’ in today’s world

The America-Italy Society of Philadelphia presents “Pinocchio in the 21^st Century,” an evening devoted to exploring the relevance of Carlo Collodi’s masterpiece, first published in 1883, within the context of modern times and political culture.

The symposium will be at 6 p.m. March 14 (appetizers served at 5:30) at the Society’s headquarters, 320 S. Broad St., Suite 1105, Philadelphia. The event will also be live-streamed online.

The speaker will be Anna Kraczyna, translator of the Penguin Classics edition of “The Adventures of Pinocchio.”
