The relevance of ‘Pinocchio’ in today’s world

The America-Italy Society of Philadelphia presents “Pinocchio in the 21st Century,” an evening devoted to exploring the relevance of Carlo Collodi’s masterpiece, first published in 1883, within the context of modern times and political culture.

The symposium will be at 6 p.m. March 14 (appetizers served at 5:30) at the Society’s headquarters, 320 S. Broad St., Suite 1105, Philadelphia. The event will also be live-streamed online.

The speaker will be Anna Kraczyna, translator of the Penguin Classics edition of “The Adventures of Pinocchio.”
