Philadelphia Contemporary Craft Show includes 24 Italian artists

PHILADELPHIA – The Italian Consulate is sponsoring 24 visiting artists from Italy in the 48th annual Philadelphia Museum of Art Contemporary Craft Show from Nov. 15-17 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, 12th and Arch streets.

The artists, part of the collective Italiano Plurale, will show their craftsmanship and design work in the disciplines of jewelry, sculpture, ceramics, textiles and mixed media.

Show hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 15; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 16; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 17. Tickets to the show are $20 for one day, $25 for two days, and $5 for children younger than 12. Tickets can be purchased at the convention center, or online at pmacraftshow.org

The show kicks off with a preview party from 4 to 9 p.m. Nov. 14 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The evening includes an awards ceremony where prizes for excellence are awarded to the artists. The preview party is open to the public, but tickets are required.
