New Beginning for Serpe’s

From left: Elsmere Mayor Steve Burg, Domenic Serpe, Rich Serpe and New Castle County Executive Tom Gordon gather to herald a new beginning for Serpe’s Bakery, the landmark Elsmere business that is being rebuilt following a fire that gutted the building on Christmas Eve. Gordon told the Serpes that many of his constituents have been driving to South Philadelphia for baked goods and are looking forward to the return of Serpe’s. The family hopes for an autumn reopening.
