HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – CiborTV, the Italian Streaming Television Network, announced earlier this month Italian-speaking viewers in the United States will now have access to its more than 500 channels.
The CiborTV decoder box enables those living abroad to watch Italian and international movies and television series without the hassle of satellite installation.
According to a recent United States Census Bureau estimate, 17.8 million Americans are of Italian descent. They represent about one in every 20 Americans and are the only European group to have shown an increase in population from the last census. CiborTV provides Italian Americans with a vehicle to stay connected to their heritage while living abroad.
This fall CiborTV will broadcast Miss Italia USA, starting in Miami Beach and moving through 50 different cities throughout the US. Subscribers can also watch the entire Serie C, Italian soccer’s third division, featuring 60 teams and more than 30 games per week including playoffs. In addition to streaming Italian television, CiborTV produces several programs, including “Port to Port,” hosted by DJ Roberto Onofri and former Miss Italia Martina Sambucini, and “True Italian Cuisine” with Italian chef Lorenzo Polegri and famous Italian television actress Emanuela Tittocchia.
“Customs, traditions, trends, political and social conditions are expressed through Italian media,” said CiborTV CEO Enrico Romagnoli. “Our streaming television network enables U.S. viewers to fully immerse in the Italian culture from the comfort of their own home.”
