Italian-American veterans of the U.S. military assemble at the Delaware County Veterans Memorial. An award ceremony in their honor will be Nov. 17 at Springfield Country Club. Two non-veterans will also be honored at the ceremony for their contributions to education: Jeffrey LaMonica, associate professor of history at Delaware County Community College, and Linda Mattia-Houldin, founding member and executive of the Delaware County Veterans Memorial Association.
