PHILADELPHIA – The Fitler Club, a posh and stylish private-membership club in Center City, will host a fashion show on Dec. 8 featuring the designs of Sartoria Milano, a family-owned fashion house whose sartorial creations blend Italian tradition and Italian innovation.
At the event, scheduled for 6 p.m., brothers Nicola and Luca Battista will present fashion trends and techniques used in their revolution-ary approach. The historic Milanese atelier Sartoria Milano follows the best sartorial dictates and uses the finest materials and fabrics made in Italy, such as Ermenegildo Zegna, Loro Piana, Lanificio F.lli Cerruti, Lanificio F.lli Tallia di Delfino, Ariston, Guabello and Reda.
Fittings are available, by appointment only, on Dec. 9.
The brothers deliberately chose Philadelphia for the launch of Sartoria Milano’s U.S. operations, according to Rosa Agliata, event organizer.
“It is a city full of avant-garde fashion concept stores, attentive to quality and detail. There are also major university fashion and textile programs at Drexel and Jefferson,” she said. “It will be an amazing success and a sign of post-pandemic recovery.”
