Celebration will start in the Church of the Sacred Heart: Originally a Benedictine coenobium, this church was rescued from Napoleon’s confiscation and later donated to the ‘Sacconi’ confraternity by Pope Gregory XVI. It cultivates traditional Catholic sacred music and Roman liturgy.
Pilgrimage Program:
– Latin Mass: At 4:30 PM, the Soloists of the ‘Accademia dei Dissennati’ will sing the Gregorian Mass IX ‘cum Jubilo.’
– Motets: The program includes motets such as ‘Assumpta est Maria,’ ‘Hodie Maria Virgo,’ ‘Sicut Cervus,’ ‘O Sacrum Convivium,’ and ‘Hodie Beata Virgo Maria.’
