Delmarva UNICO plans bocce tournament May 13 in Milton

LEWES — Members of the Delmarva Chapter of UNICO National met at the home of John and Connie Subelka to form committees and finalize plans for the fourth annual Bocce Tournament to be held on May 13.

The tournament will begin at 10:30 a.m. and continue until 5 p.m. at Dogfish Head Craft Brewery in Milton. The rain date will be May 20.

The entry fee will be $40 per team. Only 16 teams (of two to four persons) will be accepted. Half of the proceeds will divided (60 percent to 40 percent) between the top two teams; the remainder will be used for administrative purposes and donations to local and national charities.

There will also be a 50/50 raffle and a selection of items donated by members and local businesses.

Beverages (including beer and wine) and homemade baked goods will be for sale. Don’t forget to bring a lawn chair!

The pre-registration form (available online at VCAT@mchsi.com) and entry fee are due by April 28, and can be sent to Vince Catania, 625 Spring Lake Drive, Bethany Beach 19930.
