Columbus Day Ceremony in Norristown

The 30th annual Columbus Day Ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Oct. 12 at the Columbus Monument on Harding Boulevard by Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown. Sponsoring Italian American Organizations include Americans of Italian Heritage Council, MSS Society, Holy Saviour Club, Regional Association of Campania, Knights of Columbus, Mount Carmel Club and LAM-Valley Forge Lodge 1776, Sons and Daughters of Italy in America. With support from JP Mascaro & Sons and Elmwood Park Zoo, there will be a Procession of Flags of the Regions of Italy with a keynote address and The Verdi Band.
