Celebration at Christopher Columbus Monument

Italian-American organizations turned out in force on Oct. 12 for the 32nd anniversary celebration at the Christopher Columbus Monument in Delaware County. The theme of the event was “Share the Discovery, Honor the Past.” There was patriotic music and a parade of Italian flags. The keynote speaker was attorney George Bochetto. Albert A. DeGennaro and Thomas Lepera also spoke. Participating groups included Americans of Italian Heritage Council, Holy Saviour Club, L.A.M. Valley Forge Lodge 1776, Knights of Columbus Assembly 934, the M.S.S. Society and Mount Carmel Club.
