Blessing of bread at St. Edmond’s

Members of UNICO Delaware District 1 in Rehoboth Beach recently collected bread to be blessed at St. Edmond’s Catholic Church before it was distributed to parishioners, friends and a local food pantry. In other business, members discussed progress on the Verrazzano Garden in Rehoboth. The group has asked the city planner for permission to add a plaque to monument’s stone, which came from Verrazzano Castle in Greve-in-Chianti, Italy. The organization also discussed upcoming UNICO events in Rehoboth Beach, including the Brian Piccolo Scholarship Award Banquet on April 6, and the Kentucky Derby Dinner and Raffle on May 3.
