WILMINGTON — Every second and fourth Sunday of the month from 1 to 6 p.m. the Saint Pius X Council of the Knights of Columbus holds a Pasta and Ravioli Dinner. CLAYMONT — The Grand Lodge of Delaware and its Filial Lodges will hold their Purple Aster Ball at The Waterfall Banquet Center on Philadelphia Pike. At the gala The Grand Lodge and its Filial Lodges will once again recognize those members for exemplary service and dedication to their Lodges. Tickets are $75. WILMINGTON — The Delaware Italian-American Education Association will present the last screening of the 2017 Italian Cinema Festival. The film to be screened is La “Pazza Gioia” (“Like Crazy”), which was screened at Cannes last May and was the most-awarded film at the 2016 Nastro d’Argento Awards (Italian National Syndicate of Journalists Awards), winning five Silver Ribbons. Director Paolo Virzì created unforgettable and believable characters and dialogue in this comedy-drama, a study of two very different psychologically damaged women in a psychiatric institution.

CHESTER, Pa — CIAO Delco presents the Widener Italian Music Festival featuring Alfio, well known for his concert appearances on PBS, who will delight the audience with his repertoire of Italian and Italian-American favorites.  The Coro Gabrielle D’Annunzio will also perform that afternoon. WILMINGTON — The Giuseppe Verdi Lodge OSIA will hold its annual fundraiser to benefit Cooley’s Anemia at 6 p.m. at Mazzella’s Restaurant on Philadelphia Pike. This is a disease that affects people of Mediterranean lineage. Please call Pinuccia Scalora at (302) 998-6191 to let her know if you plan to attend.
