$1,000 UNICO grant goes to Lighthouse for Broken Wings

The Ralph Torraco Food Bank and Shelters Fund , a national program, grants $30,000 annually to 20-25 501 (c)(3) organizations which provide food and/or shelter to residents needing assistance throughout the United States.
In past years, this fund has awarded grants of $1,000-$2,000 to local Delaware shelters: Sister Rosa Alvarez – Gardenia House, Georgetown; Immanuel Shelter – Rehoboth Beach, and recently Lighthouse for Broken Wings – Rehoboth Beach.

Applications are available on the UNICO National website , unico.org, and must be submitted at least 60 days prior to the Annual Board Meeting held each March or the Annual Convention in July, at which committee members meet to review, discuss and approve applications.
